Thailand – a country that knows how to enchant with its varied landscapes, fascinating culture and lively atmosphere. My trip took me to some of the most famous and exciting destinations: Bangkok, Krabi and Ko Phangan. Each place had its own magic and offered me a unique mix of relaxation, unforgettable Thailand adventure and cultural experiences.

Bangkok : The vibrant metropolis
My unforgettable Thailand adventure began in Bangkok, a city that never sleeps and captivated me from the first minute. First I visited Wat Pho, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, whose impressive golden statue left me speechless. The Buddha, so majestic and peaceful, was a true masterpiece of Thai architecture. Nearby is the Great Seated Buddha (Wat Paknam), another fascinating landmark.

No Bangkok stay would be complete without a visit to a skywalk – a breathtaking vantage point that offers a spectacular view of the city’s skyline. I visited the skywalk of the King Power Mahanakhon building. The building itself is spectacular due to its unique design. Highlight – the glass plate from which you get a different view of the city.
Not for the faint-hearted! It got even better in a sky bar, where I ended the day with a cool drink and enjoyed the view of the city at night. Simply magical! My recommendation: The Mojjo Rooftop Lounge & Bar.

Another unforgettable Thailand highlight was a water taxi ride on the Chao Phraya River. The ride was a refreshing contrast to the hustle and bustle on the streets and offered a unique view of the temples and the impressive buildings along the river.
If you want to treat yourself to a green break, you should definitely visit Lumphini Park. The park is a green oasis in the middle of the city, and I was fascinated by the water monitor lizards that swam through the waters there. This park is also a real cat paradise – the animals roam freely and make themselves comfortable in the park. A must for cat lovers.

A visit to the famous Khao San Road was also a must. The streets were full of backpackers, markets and bars. Each bar usually has the same offer, the music is very loud and it is very busy. Find a bar with music that suits you, order a beer or a cocktail bucket and watch the hustle and bustle of the street.
I took the opportunity to try something unusual – a scorpion and a grasshopper! I cannot recommend the scorpion, but I can recommend the grasshopper. If you want something a little quieter, you can visit the side street. Rambuttri Road is the perfect complement to Khao San Road. Here you will find cozier restaurants, bars and massage studios.

Krabi : Unforgettable Thailand paradise for explorers and nature lovers
After hectic Bangkok, I headed to Krabi, which is known for its stunning beaches and impressive landscapes. I had accommodation near Ao Nang Beach, just about ten minutes away by scooter. Ao Nang Beach itself is a lovely place to end the day, but what I particularly liked was the freedom of exploring the island on a rented scooter.
One of my most unforgettable Thailand experiences was the Monkey Trail. The small hiking trail leads to a viewpoint with a breathtaking view of the bay and the beach. On the way there, I also encountered some cheeky monkeys lining the path. Pai Plong Beach was also a highlight.
You reach it after a 15-minute hike through the Monkey Trail. Once you arrive at Pai Plong Beach, you have an incredible view of the limestone cliffs – the perfect postcard motif. Here on the beach I rented a canoe and paddled to a remote beach, Minaos Beach. It was a paradise, almost all to myself.
Another unforgettable Thailand experience was visiting an Elephant sanctuary. It was a heartwarming experience to learn more about the gentle giants and to see them up close. An experience I will never forget! You shouldn’t miss it.
If you are in Krabi, you should definitely visit Wat Tham Sua – the temple in the mountains is impressive and requires a strenuous hike. It is important to take enough water with you, protect yourself from the mosquitoes and watch out for the cheeky monkeys. Once you get to the top you will be rewarded with a magnificent view! I was able to experience a breathtaking sunrise from the Din Daend Doi viewpoint – the early climb is definitely worth it to enjoy the breathtaking view.
There is a small café at the viewpoint where you can enjoy a coffee or a small local breakfast. I rounded off the day with a visit to the Ao Nang Night Market, where I sampled delicious street food.

Unforgettable Thailand Adventure in Ko Phangan: Relaxation, party and nature
After my time in Krabi, I continued on to Ko Phangan by bus and boat. The island is known for its Full Moon Party, but also has other highlights that are waiting to be discovered. Which means I will definitely come back to explore other corners of the island, as I only had two nights there this time. First, I had a pool day at my beach hotel – perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the island.
Despite the quiet, I decided to visit the legendary Half Moon Party – an unforgettable Thailand adventure experience where I danced until the early hours of the morning and enjoyed the unique atmosphere of this party on a tropical island. Another highlight was a visit to the Night Market Cafe Vintage, where I not only tried local delicacies, but also took in the ambience of the market.

Koh Samui and the end of my trip
From Ko Phangan I took the boat to Ko Samui. Here I visited Fisherman’s Village, a charming district that exudes traditional Thai flair. It was the perfect place to buy souvenirs, enjoy the sunset and have something delicious to eat. Then I went to the airport, from where I flew back to Bangkok to spend the last night of my trip. The end of my trip to Thailand was to stroll through the streets of Bangkok one last time before continuing on to Laos the next day.
Conclusion: A trip full of experiences
This trip was a true adventure for all the senses – from the cultural treasures and vibrant life in Bangkok to the natural wonders and relaxing beaches in Krabi and the wild party and nature experience on Ko Phangan. Thailand deeply impressed me with its diversity and hospitality, and I will certainly return one day to discover even more of this fascinating country.
